| With the accelerating process of urbanization in China,the development of cities has changed from increment to stock,that is,the emphasis on the quality construction of cities.As the core and conversion hub of urban public space,the improvement of pedestrian environment quality is an important content of urban external space construction.The improvement of pedestrian environment quality can enhance residents’ willingness to walk and street activities,promote the integration of street space and residents’ activities,prolong the "monitoring" time of streets.Therefore,the improvement of pedestrian environmental quality is the key node of urban vitality,health,safety and sustainable development.In previous studies,street walkability was usually used to reflect the impact of pedestrian environmental factors on pedestrian activities.Due to the different research methods and samples,the impact of environment on pedestrian activities is inconsistent.Therefore,these research results with certain limitations can not clearly guide the renewal and construction of other street environment.At the same time,previous studies only considered the impact of a certain level of environmental factors(meso or micro)on street walkability,but did not comprehensively consider the combined impact of meso and micro environment,so it is impossible to determine the focus of environmental renewal in street construction.Based on the influence of street environment on pedestrian uncertainty,the measurement formula of street walkability is inaccurate in index selection and incomplete in environmental factor analysis.Therefore,it is of great significance to clarify the relationship between Xiaozhai street environment and walking,and then to build a more complete and accurate pedestrian formula.To solve the above problems,this paper first analyzes the exact relationship between the built environment and walking through empirical research.In the empirical study,Xi’an Xiaozhai is taken as the research case,and the built environment and pedestrian activity data are obtained through PLPS method and multi-source big data method.Then,the structural equation model is used to establish the influence path model among street environmental factors,pedestrian activities and street walkability.The model shows the impact path of each environmental factor in detail,and concludes that land use mix,population density,business density,pedestrian space width and street seats are the core environmental factors affecting the walkability of Xiaozhai street.After obtaining and determining the type,weight and low correlation of the core elements,this paper establishes the walkability formula of pedestrian environment=(LDI-PDI+CDI)×2(width+seat).Finally,according to the pedestrian environment walkability formula,the walkability value of Xiaozhai area is measured.The results show that with the center of Xiaozhai intersection,the walkability level presents Valley characteristics,that is,the walkability level decreases gradually from the center to the surrounding.Based on the above research results,it is more targeted and strategic to transform the streets with poor walkability in Xiaozhai.The results provide guidance for the streets similar to Xiaozhai,and also provide methods for the research of walkability in other areas. |
