Research On The Design Of Skywalk System Under The Background Of Urban Renewal

At present,our country’s cities have entered an important stage of urban renewal.After decades of high-level development and construction in many old-fashioned urban business districts,problems such as outdated infrastructure,urban traffic congestion,lack of public space,and poor walking experience in the area have gradually emerged.Not only can it fail to meet the citizens’ growing demand for urban life quality,but it also affects the economic vitality of the region.Therefore,many cities try to connect and integrate urban elements,stitch up cities separated by road networks,and improve land utilization by planning and designing aerial pedestrian systems in urban business districts,so as to improve urban operation efficiency,optimize citizens’ travel environment,and promote regional development.In the past,the design of the aerial pedestrian system in the process of urban development was actually an independent pedestrian bridge,and the design status was unsatisfactory.This is still a question of how to design the aerial pedestrian system in the context of urban renewal to realize the revitalization and cultivation of urban area vitality.Lack of clear theoretical support and practical experience summary.Therefore,this paper takes Guangzhou Huanshidong Commercial District as an example to explore the design strategy of the sky walking system under the background of urban renewal,mainly including the following aspects:(1)Starting with the rise and formation of the aerial pedestrian system,construction influencing factors,constituent elements,organizational relationship of urban space elements,and system evaluation elements,it is summarized to provide a theoretical basis for follow-up research.(2)Analyze and study the successful aerial pedestrian system design cases in the context of urban renewal at home and abroad,such as the High Line Park in the United States,Seoullo 7017 in South Korea,and the aerial pedestrian system in the "Three Cities,One Pavilion" area of Longgang,Shenzhen,and summarize the background of urban renewal The development trend and design strategy of the aerial walking system.(3)Analyze the development history and current situation of the Guangzhou Huanshidong business district,regional population and needs,etc.,summarize the current problems and reasons in the Huanshidong business district,and based on the above theoretical research,the design optimization strategy of the air walking system in this area is proposed.
