Study On Commercial Space Layout On Both Sides Of Urban Expressway In Yanta District Of Xi’an

In the rapid development of the city today, the convenience and accessibility oftransportation often become the primary condition for the development of a region.Expressway has contacted the city with different kinds of functional areas together,which promote contacts and communication of city groups, cities and peripheral spaces.Planning and construction of expressway has been regarded by many large cities.However, characteristic of the city expressway itself makes it divides both sides of theroad in a certain extent. The people’s activities produce lots of isolation effects.Commercial space in the city is the most dynamic and representative space, itreflects the most real normal life of a city. Under the rapid transit developmentbackground, the commercial spatial structure has changed as well. Xi’an Third RingRoad is a rapid transit corridor of the city, which traverses the Yanta District. It is animportant influence factor which promotes the development of this area, and it will alsobe an important role to the commercial space layout.This paper begins with above problems, it regards both sides of urban expresswayof commercial space in Yanta District of Xi’an as the research object, it analyses theinfluence of commercial space layout of the urban expressway. Besides it tries to takesome planning strategies and methods of commercial space layout on both sides ofurban expressway.Firstly, the thesis elaborates city construction, development of commercialfacilities and the function of Xi’an Third Ring Road. It summarizes the presentconstructive situation of Yanta District and the opportunities and challenges of its futuredevelopment. With the characteristics of the urban expressway in Yanta District and the present situation of commercial space layout on both sides of the expressway, this papergets the problems faced by the development of commercial space on both sides of theurban expressway. Depend on these, the study starts with human’s behavior to analysethe influence of urban expressway and discuss the relationship between behaviorcharacteristics and commercial space layout. It discusses the effect of the commercialspace layout by urban expressway from four aspects: commercial space function,structure, morphology and commercial space environment. It summarizes the law ofurban expressway on the role of the commercial space. After that, it puts forward thedevelopment strategies of commercial space layout on both sides of urban expressway.Then, it constructs a commercial space layout mode. Basing on the area of commercialspace layout planning, the paper selects the typical area to make the detailed planning,and summarizes the universal planning suggestions from four aspects: the regionaltraffic combing, commercial space location selection, service radius, business scale andtype control. Finally, the paper summarizes the views and hopes to provide reference forthe same type of planning, and make prospects for future research.
