At present, the study on basalt fiber applied to low-noise asphalt pavement startsrelatively late, which properties need a further research and verification. Based on this point, this thesis comparative analysis of the different factors influence on noise reductionperformance of open-grade, mechanism of basalt fiber and asphalt was revealed bypenetration test, softening point test, elastic recovery test and viscosity test. The influence offibers content on open-graded asphalt pavement, and the construction technology of basaltfibers modified asphalt mixture was proposed.1.The influence of four parameters on noise reduction performance of open-grade wastheoretical analyzed by orthogonal test method, the results showed that porosity was theimportant factor for noise reduction performance, the noise reduction effect was tended to bestable with the increase of pavement thickness, the structure thickness of open-graded asphaltsurface layer should be controlled in4cm in the actual application process.2.The result showed that penetration, ductility were reducing and elastic recovery, viscosity were increasing with the content increasing, and the results were close tohigh-viscosity asphalt when the content was0.2%~0.3%, the basalt fiber could effectivelyimprove the high temperature properties, fatigue properties and water stability of asphaltmortar.3. The analysis of mechanism of basalt fiber mortar analysis shows that the translation ofcolloid caused by light oil in the asphalt absorbed in fiber and interaction interface betweenasphalt and increased specific surface area of fiber, which increased the content of structuralasphalt, the addition of fiber played a "reinforced" role in asphalt mortar, which increased thestructural integrity of asphalt mortar.4. The water stability could be improved by addition of hydrated lime, the mechanismwas amassed from material microscopic.5. The performance of open-grade asphalt mixture could significantly increased byadding basalt fiber, but the seepage, noise reduction and texture depth of mixture reduced byadding basalt fiber. Based on comprehensive consideration of noise reduction and theenhancement of asphalt mixture by basalt fiber, the optimum mix amount of basalt fiber was0.3%.
