| With the development of modern technology, shipping industry has come to atime of briskly growth, whilst the number and type of ships also witnessed a fastincrement with a trend of professionalization, maximization and intelligentialization. However, safety problem also drew much more attention during this process.Currently speaking, the most commonly used five indexes to evaluating maritimesafety are “total number of accident, number of collision, amount of casualty, numberof sunken ship and directly loss of economyâ€. According to the latest officialstatistics of marine accident which is promulgated by MSA, the number of it isdecreasing every year, making the method of safety evaluating out of date. To solvethis contradiction, an increasing number of experts pay more attention on the conceptof “conflictâ€, the proposal of which effectively avoid the traditional idea of accidentand lead the safety assessment to a whole new level. Therefore, the study of marinetraffic conflict just come out. Thanks to the booming expansion of information, the internet of things alsoreaches an unprecedented time. To embrace and take advantage of it, people need tofuse the mass of information which come from a variety of sensors in order to gatherthem more accurately. And the tendency of it can be seen from every industry of oursociety. This paper tried to apply the technology of information fusion to marine trafficconflict study. By proposing the case of the combination of ship-bond RADAR andAIS data, we discussed the necessity, feasibility and method of utilizing thisinformation fusion on the study. Based on the Ministry of Transport’sproject——“study on theoretical model of traffic conflict and its application†that Iparticipated and investment of foreign literature and current achievements, this paperconducted several discusses and researches from the aspects below:(1) To obtain basic data of traffic conflict via gathering marine traffic statistics, and define the conflict. Furthermore, establish an assessment standard of it with thepurpose of providing fundament to information processing (2) Based on collection of ship-bond RADAR data and AIS information, webuilt a mathematical model to conduct a temporal-spatial research. Then we studiedits consistency and methodology of target association. At last, we combined thedynamic information and processed data with some fusion methodology, in order toprovide accurate real-time statistics for traffic conflict.(3) We built a judgment model and safety evaluation model of marine trafficconflict based on the information gained from fusion. It can give scientific reason fornavigators to make further decision. At the same time, data of navigators can be fedback to data center to calibrate the model and information process. |
