Commercial architectural for the city to provide a socialization of public openspace, not only to promote the prosperity of society, but also to promote socialactivities and social interactions, to improve the vitality of the city center to play apositive role. Urban public space as an important part of one hand, to some extentreplaced the traditional decline in city streets and squares, a new gathering space;hand, through interaction and communication, urban space to add vitality.Allegorizing is a design method that deals with designing message and convertsits analyzed results into architectural form.This essay focuses on how to make use of this method in the commercialbuilding design. We call commercial architecture as “typology” for its specificity,i.e.it asks people to take a series of its functions into consideration in the design, andonly when these basic functions be fulfilled, the building designed might be called acommercial architectural. The mission of the architecture is no longer able to bereflected by simply meeting its functional requirements. When we are endowing thearchitecture with “mission”, we are supposed to take a long design process, which isthe progress of allegorizing’s generation.To be brief, the design process of allegorizing can be stated as followingsteps:1.Literature review.2.Theory analysis.3.Classification and comparison.4.Casestudy.5. Field researchCombining the above methods, this thesis is finally formed by the refinement,analysis, conclusion and development.
