With the pace of western development, in response to the call of the central regionto accelerate the construction of basic transportation western Xinjiang, western China asthe largest province, its highway network construction is to implement economicdevelopment and safeguard the stability of national unity. Motorway service area is thehub of the highway system, providing services and security for passengers and vehiclessite, bear flow, logistics, information flow on the highway fast, safe and smooth task.Xinjiang has always been a multi-ethnic region, coupled with the Silk Road bringsa blend of Eastern and Western civilizations, but also makes the cultural landscape ofXinjiang have their own regional. So in Xinjiang highway construction servicesrequired to meet the functional requirements, planning needs to be considered but alsothe spiritual needs of the Xinjiang regional culture.Design Theory Xinjiang highway service area of this paper under the regionalculture by analyzing the results of the collation of existing highway service area fordomestic and foreign design, combined with the geographical and cultural factors inXinjiang local natural resources, human resources and other aspects of economicresources, trying to explore the service area has geographical and culturalcharacteristics of Xinjiang design theory.
