QuTan temple is located in the QuTan town,20kilometers southern from LeDucity of QingHai province. It is built in the beginning of Ming dynasty, and it is a rareTibetan Buddhist temple in Chinese form,also a set of Historic buildings with greatvalue.It is a precious, completed, rare cultural relics, which is released in1982as thesecond batch of national cultural relics.However, QuTan town shows rapid trend of tourism and urbanization, whichmakes the conservation of QuTan temple an urgent problem to be solved. But, On theone hand, QuTan temple doesn t have a legal conservation plan, which makes theconservation leak of basis. On the other hand, the technique of Chinese historicbuildings conservation is Inadequate. There are still some problems such as Unscientificmethods, insufficient protection details, rough management rules. These all restrict theconservation of QuTan temple.In this paper, in order to provide the basis and solve the problem, firstly theauthor summarizes historical evolution of QuTan temple, determines its currentsituation. Secondly the author determines its values and value carrier, adds spatialpattern, elects the best plan with comprehensive factor.Thirdly, the author makesmanagement graphic with imitation of regulatory detailed planning, forms a better planas a protection basis for QuTan temple.On these basis, this paper draws the following conclusion: the cultural relics valuecarrier listing, the content system of historic buildings protection, the managementgraphic are solutions for above questions, and these have common meaning andApplication value for protection of Chinese historic buildings.
