Product Design is most creative stage in product development process, it can beregarded as a process that generating new knowledge based on the accumulated knowledge.In the product design field, around70%of design work is adaptive design and variantdesign, and around60%of new product design is based on the accumulated knowledge andexperience, therefore, organize the existing design resources and complete reuse or partiallymodify the organized resources is regarded as a better way to improve the efficiency andquality of product design when there is a new demand. However, the current research worksof design resuse are focus on mining, expression, management, and general design reuseservices of previous design activities and resources while the research works about how toreuse design process are inadequate and the design reuse method has low degree ofautomation, which can’t liberate designers from a large number of repetitive work. To solvethe above problems,the method of knowledge component supporting design reuse isproposed in this paper and several techniques are studied including parameters reasoning,solver integrating, knowledge component combination and so on. The following shows thedetail of each chapter.(1)Aiming at the shortcomings of the existing design reuse method, this paperpropose the method of knowledge component supporting design reuse, design the structureof knowledge components and descrip each elements and the relationship between elementsof knowledge component in detail. Based on the above content, this paper analyse theinvoking way of the knowledge component. Example proves that the method can realizeautomatic service of design knowledge in the design process and greatly reduce the designrepetitive work of designers.(2)In the invoking process of knowledge component, the changes of inputparameter tend to cause many unexpected negative impact. The designer must havecomprehensive knowledge to determine the input parameters. Aiming at this problem, thepaper proposes a parameter reasoning method based on causal model. First the parameterreasoning model is analyzed, and then the definition of causal model is put forward on thebasis of model reasoning. The causal model can reason the effective parametersautomatically, and we can choose the the needed parameters by heuristic search method.(3)The deployment, maintenance and upgrade of the solver in enterprises have a high costing, and distributed solver can’t get unified management. To solve this problem,this paper propose the solver integration method based on the application virtualization,analyse the invoking process of commonly used solves, and then study the solverdeployment method based on the technology of application virtualization, flow deliverymechanism and solver servers load balance mechanism.(4)Aiming at the problem of the encapsulation level knowledge component is low,and unable to effectively support the design reuse in processes which have many childrentask, this paper propose the design task oriented combination method of knowledgecomponent. First, this paper constructs the framework of the knowledge component, andthen realizes the visual modeling of knowledge component based on Flex, and finallystudies the invoking way of the knowledge component combination and verifies the effectby an example.(5)Based on the above theory and method, a knowledge component constructionand execution system is developed independently. The system realizes the integratedmanagement of the knowledge component elements, solvers, knowledge component andknowledge component combination, verify the validity of the knowledge componentmethod to realizing design reuse.
