With the rapid development of modem science and weapons and equipment technology, the gun aiming mechanism design put forward higher requirements, but modern target machine design involving multiple disciplines, design difficult, complex design process, aiming at most of the decisions of machine design process from the designer itself or a small group of experts, the lack of a set of application in the modem design technology of targeting the machine design process. At the same time, in the long-term theory research, design, production and processing in the process of gradual accumulation of a large number of multi-source heterogeneous design knowledge, has not been effective organization and use of, difficult to share and reuse, the design process of target machine lack of effective support. This article is based on modern design theory and method, the development target machine design based on ontology and knowledge component system research. The main research contents include:(1) By analyzing the main content of the aiming mechanism design, the design process and characteristics, determine the target machine design based on knowledge engineering technology and process.(2) The analysis and summary aiming at the characteristics of the machine design knowledge, according to the features of target machine design knowledge will be aimed at the machine design knowledge classification, determine the aiming mechanism design knowledge acquisition methods, and through specific example, detailed introduces the steps and methods of knowledge acquisition.(3) Based on the analysis of all kinds of target machine design knowledge representation of demand, on the basis of the aiming mechanism design knowledge representation framework is put forward. And build target machine design ontology, component development aiming mechanism design knowledge, establish the relationship between them.(4) By analyzing the logical relationship between the aiming mechanism design knowledge and design calculation process of the specific characteristics of ontology, aimed to build machine design is put forward aiming at the definition of machine components design knowledge, determine the encapsulation strategy of knowledge components, and gives knowledge component and design the construction of ontology mapping strategy. Combining with the target machine design ontology, aimed to build a complete machine design knowledge base.(5) To determine and the target of knowledge component design method based on ontology, with specific examples, elaborate on the specific design process. Through the analysis of the prototype system development needs, determine the function modules of the system, the hardware structure of the prototype system is determined, and architecture. On this basis, the specific system development and running environment, developing prototype system of each function module, to achieve the established function, after the integration of various functional modules, to form a complete target machine design prototype system based on knowledge engineering.
