Complex products integrate multi-disciplinary knowledge of mechanical, control, electromagnetic, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc., have been widely used in the aerospace, defense, heavy equipment and other industries, and are of great significance to the maintenance of national security and to lay the foundation for the development of the national economy. But the complex product design processes are quite complicated, design knowledge is diverse, knowledge organization and management of the design process is imperfect, there are lack of knowledge representation model to support for designers to quickly understand and communicate and lack of simple and efficient knowledge reuse method to support design activities, improve design efficiency and shorten the design cycle. Therefore, aiming at this problem, design process knowledge modeling and reuse method for complex product are studied in this paper.For complex product design characteristics, related content of complex product design knowledge organization were discussed. Including the definition, characteristics, design processes and the design process modeling method of complex product, and the definition, characteristics, and classification of complex product design knowledge; On this basis, an organizational framework of complex product design knowledge was built, and a preliminary analysis of knowledge modeling and knowledge reuse method oriented the design knowledge flow was done, which laid the foundation for the later study.In order to fully understand the complex product design process driven by knowledge, considering the impact of multiple factors: user purpose, environment, working space, constraints, function, structure and behavior, the PFBS ontology model oriented product design knowledge flow was constructed. Firstly, the basic concepts and design process elements of the model were defined and described; On this basis, the design knowledge flow process model of user purpose-driven design and functional requirements-driven design were given, and the design knowledge flow process model of variant design, adaptive design and creative design were proposed; Finally, modeling methods of design object elements and design process elements in the model were given.For complex product design, case-based reasoning reusing technologies were studied, including case representation, case retrieval, case modification and maintenance of complex product, etc. By building the hierarchy organizational model of case database, the case representation and the method of case template customization were studied. On this basis, in order to realize case retrieval matching, a phased case retrieval strategy, which combined template retrieval approach with the nearest neighbor approach, was proposed, four types of similarity calculation model of case characteristic attributes were established, and combining weights set on the basis of AHP-Similarity Deviation Information were used; Meanwhile, the methods of case modification, case reuse, case storage and case maintenance were analyzed; Finally, through an example, the efficiency of case-based reasoning method was verified.Finally, based on the earlier studies, the knowledge management for hydro-generator was developed, thus realizing the organization and reuse of hydro-generator design knowledge.
