| As domestic economy develops over the past few years,there has been a greatincrease in city garbage emissions. A sharp conflict between scarce land resources andcontinuous growth in city garbage is emerging. The disposal of city garbage hasbecome a pressing problem of the day. The BOT contract has been increasinglyapplied in waste to power industry for the advantage in itself. Whereas numerouscontracting problems arising from the long-term, multi-party BOT projects indomestic waste to power industry, it’s highly necessary to study on the contract andtrust relationships among all the parties associated with the project.This paper gives a complete analysis of the organization network relationshipsand contract relationships of BOT project stakeholders based on theories related toBOT project, transaction cost theory, contract theory, project stakeholder theory andrelevant documents at home and abroad. A BOT project contract and trustrelationships model is presented for discussing contract and trust relationships andtrust and performance relationships.The study on the contract and trust relationships among all the parties(government, contractor, plants supplier and residents around) associated with theproject is based on the case of a waste to power BOT project in city X of the countryat bidding, constructing, operating phases from project company perspective. The useof contract and trust relationships model is addressed to describe that the trustrelationships is a process of dynamic change due to the project execution. Trust is aneffective supplement to the contract. Some suggestions are presented in the end of thisarticle which is of reference value for future domestic waste to power BOT projectsoperating. |
