Shaping Urban Features Based On Regional Features In The Comprehensive Urban Design

Global economic integration and rapid urbanization has led to the rapiddevelopment of urban construction， the connotation，features and characteristics ofthe cities are ignored， which greatly reduced the identifiability of the city. As a result，many cities in China have been caught up in urban feature crisis. It is difficult toobtain long-term development for a city with no features and characteristic. Shapingthe urban style features is a core content of the comprehensive urban design. As aphysical space environment control and coordination， the comprehensive urbandesign is a powerful and effective means to strengthen and construct the urbanfeature.Firstly， this paper studies the background， content and function of thecomprehensive urban design， then analyzes its value orientation in-depth research，proposing that comprehensive urban design is not only a reasonable allocation ofspace resources，but also meaningful for the protection of urban culture，the shapingof urban image， and the realization of public willingness，all mentioned above areclosely related to the city’s features and characteristics.Then this paper studies on the urban features and characteristics， analyzes themeaning and composition of the urban feature， putting forward that the urban featureis the reflection of the urban character. The dominant carrier component of the urbanfeature is architectural form， landscape elements， building height and streetfurniture aspects.Based on the theoretical research of the above three chapters， this paper constructthe comprehensive urban design framework for strengthening and shaping the featureand characteristic of a city in the fourth chapter. From the research of the resources ofa city， the overall positioning of the urban feature， to the development of urbanspace and the shaping of urban space characteristics， the paper established a set ofviable design path on shaping the features and characteristics of a city during theprocess of the comprehensive urban design. At last， according to the frameworkabove， the thesis applys the comprehensive urban design framework to Lingwu.
