Comprehensive Urban Design In Small Cities For Creation Of Feathers

The urban population and urban area in China are rapidly growing in the new century. It brings the opportunities for developing the new districts and urban transformation in many cities. On the other wise, some projects were not suitable for the feature of the economy and society and the environment. These projects were designed for good looking of the cities and directly caused the similar image of a lot of cities. Besides, the land resources around the cities are rapidly depleting while the nature resources are seriously destroyed and the environment of the cities are becoming worse.In this situation many kinds of urban design appeared. Among them the comprehensive urban design are being launched in the middle and small cities especially because it is good at arranging the whole structures of the cities. The paper is trying to discuss the connection between the comprehensive urban design and the process of building the feature of the city from researching the sections of it. The paper also discuss the possibility of standardization and institutionalization for the comprehensive urban design.There are six chapters of the paper. The first chapter is about the objection and the content of the research. The second chapter is about the basic concept of the comprehensive urban design. The third chapter is about the necessity of the application in nowadays. The forth chapter is about the details of the feather of the city. The fifth chapter is the main part of the paper, in the chapter the writer discuss the approach to creat the feature of the city by arranging the comprehensive urban design. The chapter six gives an example, the comprehensive urban design of Luanxian in Hebei, to aid the thesis.
