| The development and re-development of urban waterfront area has become a worldwide phenomenon since 1950s and 1960s with the changes in economic development,industrial transformation and people's way of life.Thanks to the reform and opening up,China's urban construction has dramatically developed and the construction of waterfront area has also become a hot spot.。One of the important subjects in landscape architecture is waterfront green space planning and design.In recent years in China,a lot of problems and challenges encountered in area of Landscape Architecture Planning and Design.One of which is the convergence to western modern design as well as the missing of regional feature in the background of integration and homogenization in global culture.Therefore,the concept of regional feature as a means to confront globalization has drawn greater attention.This paper focuses on the two hot issues,exploring the regional awareness and practice in urban waterfront green space planning and design.The main thesis is divided into three parts,the first part based on the basic recognize to the problem,discussing respectively the waterfront and green space planning and design issues related to the concept of regional feature.The second part discuses the practice to concept of regional feature planning in the Landscape Architecture Design.The third part were divided into three chapters,discussing the impact of natural factors,history of landscape factors,as well as non-material cultural factors to concept of region in urban waterfront green space planning and design and provide specific design strategies illustrated by cases.This part is the core content of paper.This paper systematically summarizes the impacts of regional characteristics in urban waterfront green space planning and design and the applying strategies and practicing experiences of the concept of regional feature,hoping to widen the thinking of design in waterfront planning and design and provide reference to related researches. |
