Electric Bicycle Design Based On Perceptual Engineering Research

Electric bicycle with its the advantages of lightweight, energy saving, environmentalprotection has become a mainstream daily short distance personal vehicles, but at presentdomestic commercial electric bicycle is still a lot of problems. In the "perceptualconsumption" as the basic characteristics of the new era, consumers pay more attention tothe expression of self satisfaction, personality and pleasant feeling, Consumer focuses onelectric bicycle use good sense, and also an increased tendency to its digital experience, sowill the digital display into the electric bicycle design has become a research anddevelopment trend of various enterprises. In nowadays, electric bicycle companies need toreally understand the consumer’s perceptual demand, appeal to consumers heart deepdesire to buy, so as to make the product stand out from many consumers choose. Withsomeone enterprise cooperation, this study will electric bicycle design combined withdigital display, in order to get a higher market positioning, modelling images meet thetarget user groups with control interface of electric bicycle products.Perceptual technology is a kind of "consumers’ perceptual translated into productdesign elements of technology", which aims to explore the emotional reactions of peopleto the product, and this kind of emotional response translated into product design elements.So the perceptual technology is a very effective means of solving consumers’ perceptualdemand of product.The project is in the process of research and development of electric bicycle designintroduction of perceptual engineering design concept, is proposed based on electricbicycle r&d process of perceptual engineering thought.This project first in-depth study of the present status of the electric bicycle market, atthe same time to severe classification of user requirements, the main design elements areobtained, and then applies the principle of perceptual engineering research characteristicof the modelling of electric bicycle and digital display system. Its process is: first, toextract the user perceptual image vocabulary of electric bicycles, electric bicycle shapeimage of perceptual triggered research, analyses the main characteristics and the relationship between the perceptual image, it is concluded that affect the target shapefeature of image. Then use perceptual engineering principle to analyze the colour of theperceptual image manipulation interface, to extract the user goals and color images.Finally the modelling of extracted features and manipulation of the interface of targetcolour is applied to the actual project, design for electric bicycle products.
