With the increasingly fierce market competition, contemporary enterprises development must be based on reliable product quality. The products’ final quality is mainly formed by process quality in manufacturing process. As the manufacturing technologies develop quickly and the information management systems are more complete, how to take good advantage of the mass data from manufacturing process has been studied warmly in quality controlling field. Therefore, on the base of the current quality controlling technologies, this paper orientates at product manufacturing process and proposes a prevention-analysis by which reject ratio will be reduced rapidly and product quality will be more stable. At first, quality data classified into process resource status, test result, plan scheme and technological document is collected by various means. Those manufacturing data consists of data analysis layer. Then, data mining technologies and manual intelligence are utilized to predict and diagnose in order to get valuable quality information. Finally, the valuable quality information are used to quality controlling and quality improvement. The main content is as follow:Firstly, the framework of quality management orientating at machine shop manufacturing process is proposed and its operational processes is designed as well. In the detail, the framework is composed of four layers: quality data analysis, plan management, manufacturing execution and bottom control layer. And the operational processes is divided into three stages: pre-protection, middle-inspection and monitoring, after-statistics.Secondly, have a detailed expression on quality data analysis layer. Firstly, on the base of the historical quality characteristics, the gray theory model combining with BP neural network is designed to predict the coming quality characteristics. Thus, the manufacturing condition is known in advance. Secondly, regard the predicted result as the input and diagnose the abnormity. In this procedure CBR technology is used to achieve quality diagnosis in order to locate the fault source Thirdly, make full use of the historical cases to statistic and pick up some valuable quality knowledgeThirdly, have a detailed expression on manufacturing execution layer. Transfer the valuable quality information into manufacturing execution layer based on the MES to implement quality control.At last, design and develop the quality management system based on MES and its application is showed in a digital workshop of Chongqing Hongjiang Machinery Co., Ltd. The system meets its demands mostly and gets good evaluation.
