The current rapid development of China’s construction industry, many newmaterials and many new technology allows the urban and rural areas developed veryquickly. While changing constantly updated,however, there has been a serious problemin urban and rural areas,,that is the boundaries between the various regional and ruralbuildings vaguely more serious. Some of the many cities’regional architectural featureswhich can distinct from other cities began to disappear, especially in the face of urbanarchitecture reflects the most prominent,in the end they are all in turn replaced by theubiquitous cities of "gray buildings." As the number of "gray building" strated to growmore and more, regional differences between cities increasingly blurred, and begun toshow the gradual emergence of "stereotyped" phenomenon.On the other hand, the historical and cultural development of Feng shui whichoriginated in the earliest period of the Wei Jin, but its real development is due to thespread of superstition inappropriate becomes twists, until today it has never played in itstrue sense. Today, with the development of science and the natural environment of themid-20th century, many foreign scholars began to focus on Chinese Feng shui. In orderto find the lost traditional geographical and cultural characteristics, in order to explorethe true meaning of Feng shui culture,the paper will combination Fengshui study andthe traditional houses to explore the regional features and Fengshui cultural architecturalfeatures in regional architectureAffected special non-figurative elements of folk, cultural, aesthetic awareness, thelocal residential of Xu’s courtyard has distinctive architectural features. This thesis willtake the overall relationship between Fengshui and residential areas from the start, thenfocus on Xu’s Courtyard to discuss the topic,and interpret them from a scientificperspective, then introduce Xu’s courtyard residential architectural features and othercultural connotations, hopefully to provide inspiration for the regional residential tracedcreation in the end.
