With the development of the internet technology, great changes have occurred in people’s consumer ways. Shopping online has become people’s consumer habits, which directly promotes the rapid development of modern logistics industry. Since country’s increase in public transportation infrastructure construction investment, highway transportation network has been basically formed and highway transportation has gradually become the main way for passenger and cargo transportation in our country. With the advantage of rapidity, mobility, flexibility and safety, the tractor-trailers transport has gradually become the main way of highway transportation.As semi-trailer transport is an important part of the tractor-trailers transport, the demand of semi-trailer has risen sharply. The semi-trailer supporting device, installed in the front of the semi-trailer, plays the role of supporting the semi-trailer. By using crank driving mechanism of supporting device to lift or drop the height of semi-trailer’s front, the tractor is connected or disconnected; The supporting device is one of the important components of the tractor-trailers transport. The manufacturing of semi-trailer supporting device in China is still in a stage of simple imitation, in which the manufacturing cannot be customized according to customer’s demand and the customer’s personalized demand cannot be met. The shortage of talents, weak rapid customization, low design ability and weak researching and developing ability has become the bottleneck of the high competitiveness of semi-trailer supporting device enterprises in China. Under the fierce market competition, to shorten product design cycle and to improve the success rate of product designs have become an urgent problem for every enterprise to solve. Based on the research on the characteristics and rapid design method of the supporting device and prototype-based reasoning and designing, a rapid design system of semi-trailer supporting device is developed successfully. The contents of this research are as follows:Firstly, a three-dimensional modeling of one company’s semi-trailer supporting device is conducted. On the basis of the finite element analysis, the strong degree of redundancy of this supporting device’s structure and its weak areas are determined and its structure optimization is designed. Based on the above research, the components design model of light-weight supporting device that can meet customers’personalized needs are constructed, which provides excellent design templates for the subsequent development of rapid design system.Secondly, on the basis of detailed analysis and research on semi-trailer supporting device’s core structure and components, the optimization design model is provided. By employing modular and data integration technology, the standardization and serialization decomposition of this supporting device’s core components are conducted.Thirdly, Supported by SQL database and UGNX as a development platform, supporting device product database is constructed, which includes template database, components database, reuse library and components assembly information database etc. and provides normative guidance for the rapid design and assembly of supporting device components.Fourthly, the role authorization management system is established, which provided convenience for the personnel information management as well as ensured the security of designing data in the system.Fifth, ways for the realization and macro design processes for the rapid design system of supporting device are determined. By applying the technology of automated assembly, component parameter correlation and reuse library, the rapid design of supporting device are completed. By setting one supporting device as the prototype and applying relevant technology, the rapid design of new products are achieved and the practical feasibility of this supporting device rapid design system are verified.
