Analysis And Investigation Of Recent Bridge Accidents

Abstract:With the rapid development of economy, bridge construction in China is booming recently. But with the increase of traffic, as well as influence of various natural factors and human factors, the safety of bridge begins to need more and more attention. So it is necessary to make statistical analysis about bridge accidents in several decades and to find the main cause of bridge accidents to prevent the same accident happening again.The article collected611bridge accidents in near40years at home and abroad, and made generalizations about them to get the main cause of bridge accidents. And there are the following several contents in the article:(1) The synopsis of the security theory was carried on and the bridge accidents were classifed systematically;(2) The bridge accidents by natural factors at home and abroad, including the destruction of earthquake, flood, debris flow, high winds and other natural disasters to bridge were listed;(3) The bridge accidents by human factors at home and abroad, including the destruction of design factors, construction factors, operati-onal factors, collision (ship collision and car collision) factors and other human disasters to bridge were listed;(4) Investigation and analysis of the collected bridge accidents at home and abroad, mainly including the basic cause and the detailed cause of bridge accidents, the extent of damage of the different bridges, different material and different main cause (construction accident, collision accident, water accident and overload accident) of bridge accidents and so on were conducted.At last, the main cause of bridge accidents was summarized and some beneficial safety assessment measures and proposals were put forward.
