Since ancient times,city is the center of human society,political,economic andcultural activity,and advocating harmonious relation among man to man,andbetween man and nature,is becoming the focus of every modern city futuredevelopment trends.Along with the advancement of urbanization,the improvementof people’s living standard,the city’s electricity demand is also rapidly growing.Tomeet the requirements of users on the quality and reliability of the power,it isimminent to speed up the urban power grid construction and development.Urban power grid planning is a complex and arduous project.Following with thecontinuous development of city,urban power grid planning system involves more andmore factors,which leads to a sprawling complex contradiction problem.Being lackof a set of ideas and methods for solving the problem of contradiction in power gridplanning, current theory can not study on some seemingly incompatible orantagonistic problems.When encountering some difficult problems in urban powergrid planning,they always tend to make the planning staff feel helpless due to lack ofscientific and reasonable formal quantitative description model.Therefore,it isimportant to take a research on the theory of solving the contradictory problem inurban power grid planning.This paper refers the characteristics and advantages of the extenics theory tosolve contradictory problems,and applying it to the urban power grid planning,wihch expounds the urban power grid planning theory based on extenics fromtheoretical basis,system construction,steps,planning process and scheme selectionetc.By studying the extenics theory and urban power grid planning theory,this paperdiscusses the application practice of primitive theory in the urban power gridplanning,building the extension model of urban power grid planning problem,andinitially forming the solving process and framework on extenics to solve thecontradictory problem in urban power grid planning.Thus,it makes an attempt atenriching power system theory,as well as the application of extension engineering.Based on the analysis of contradiction problems and its extensibility in urban power grid planning, it gets many possible ways to solve the problem ofcontradiction,and then uses the transforming method to solve the contradictionproblems,finally generates a better effective transformation strategy by judging,evaluating,selecting,etc.Moreover,taking contradictory problems between high loaddensity and power facilities,the reliability and economy of power distribution asexamples,this article respectively uses extension rhombus thinking mode andtransforming bridge formally described the process of solving problems by extensionmodel.Finally,this paper uses extension optimal evaluation method to evaluate theformulated multiple feasible planning strategy.The results verify the feasibility andeffectiveness of this method,which can be used to guide the urban power gridplanning process....
