In the real world, things are entity of quality and quantity .The quantitative change and qualitative change of one thing are interrelated closely and interact on each other .Classical control methods which considied the quantity of different objects,are difficultly to solve contradictory problems.Extension theory has been employed to the research fields of artificial intelligent and its relevant sciences. The key to solve contradictory problems in control system is extension control theory.The method of constructing high performance extension controller by combining classical control theory and extension control theory is discussed. The design technique of extension controller is studied from mathematical theory,extension control principle,realization,disadvantages and improvements in the thesis.Firstly, Extension theory which can be used to describe the thinking process associated with both quantitative change and qualitative change is indroduced.The procedures about classical design technique of extension controller are summarized with the extension control theory presented.Secondly, Since the basic extension controller of canonical extension controller has such shortcoming of the diffculty and quantity of adjusting parameters in basic extension controller,and limited range and effects of basic extension controller,the thesis lays its emphasis on improvement of basic extension controller.The upper-layer extension controller is improved on constuctiong and functions.Finally, The canonical extension controller and improved extension controller are applied to manipulating linear system,linear time dalay system,non-linear system.Simulation experimental results of the improved extension controller are compared with canonical extension controller.The improved extension controller satisfies the required dynamic characteristic of the single inverted pendulum system.This research advances the design technique of extension controller. Simulation experimental results of the single inverted pendulum system illustrate the validity of the realization technique of extension controller.
