Study On The Impact Analysis Of Bohai Strait Sea-crossing Passage On Spatial Relationships Between Cities In Two Peninsula Urban Agglomerations

Bohai Strait stands between two Peninsulas, which greatly limits the goods exchangesand economic connections between Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration andMid-southern Liaoning Urban Agglomeration. Transportation plays an important role inthe development of regional economy. Due to the obstacles of Bohai Strait, it is difficult forBohai economic bloc to develop, realizing the regional integration development. BuildingBohai Strait Sea-crossing Passage will fundamentally change the road and rail lines of BohaiRim, natural moat change thoroughfare. Therefore in the context of Bohai Strait Sea-crossingPassage, by comparing economic links of two Peninsula Urban Agglomerations before andafter the Bohai Strait Sea-crossing Passage, and then analyzes the changes of thespatial relationships between two Peninsula Urban Agglomerations. It will play an importantrole in city-development planning and Bohai Rim balanced economic development of twoPeninsula Urban Agglomerations.Based on relevant theories, this thesis analyzes the impact of Bohai Strait Sea-crossingPassage on the economic links between two peninsula urban agglomerationsquantitatively and qualitatively. And the SOM neural net model have been used to classify thecities of two Peninsula Urban Agglomerations according to the spatial relationships betweenthem. This thesis could be divided into four parts. The first part of this thesis (Chapter2)analyzes the advantages of two Peninsula Urban Agglomerations on the positional condition,natural resources, tourism resources and so on. It focuseson the development characteristic of two Peninsula Urban Agglomerations. The second part(Chapter3) studies the impact of Bohai Strait Sea-crossing Passage on the accessibility of twopeninsula urban agglomerations. The third part (Chapter4) is the center of the thesis, itanalyzes the impact of Bohai Strait Sea-crossing Passage on the economic links between twopeninsula urban agglomerations quantitatively by using the Breakpoint Model and the citygravitational model. The fourth part (Chapter5) classifies the cities of two Peninsula UrbanAgglomerations according to the spatial relationships by using the SOM neural net modelbefore and after the Bohai Strait Sea-crossing Passage.
