Study Of Kashgar Uyghur Architectural Column Decorative Art

Kashgar architectural Carving arts is an important part of Uyghur architecturaldecoration art. It can show the unique style of decoration art and architecture ofUyghur nationality. There into the shapes of column type (wooden column typehereinafter referred to as column type) decorative art with strong decorative effect isvaried. The part of decoration, carving technique and composition possess somedistinct local characteristics. It is one of the most representative Kashgar traditionalarchitectural decoration art.We studied column type decorative art, cultural connotation, classification andshapes of column type and characteristics of in this paper. Firstly, plenty of usefulinformation related to this paper was collected to study the decorative features andtechniques of Kashgar Uyghur architecture On the level of theory, and to find thecharacteristics and cultural connotation of column type decorations of traditionalarchitecture. Secondly, the column type decorations of Kashgar Uyghur architecturewere inspected and recorded by shoot, survey and draw on location. We selected therepresentative column type shapes to be drew and analyzed by computer to thedecorative characteristics of every part of column type. Finally, we analyzed thecharacteristics of column type shapes. And at the same time, we collected and sortedsome information about the construction technology of column type decorations, theclassification of decorative patterns and construction tools to summarize the uniquedecorative features of column type of Kashgar Uyghur architecture. This paper is toprovide the folk artisans work in woodcarving decoration art with the wholesystematic resources, to supplement the information about Uyghur traditionaldecoration and folk architectural art, and to provide reference for the modern regionalarchitecture design.
