Project schedule and control are the main content of project management,theprocess covers work breakdown structure, activity definition, activity sequencing,activity duration estimates, schedule development, inspection and correctionetc.Project schedule is affected by manpower, materials, equipment, weather and otherfactors,through reasonable analysis of the above factors,we can develop a realisticschedule, thereby improving program enforceability.In recent years, as the project management theory is widely used in Chineseconstruction field,earned value,as an overall method of comprehensive measure ofproject schedule and cost conditions,is promoted and applied in the practice of projectmanagement. Through the application of earned value techniques,we can achievereal-time monitoring and dynamic control of the project.This thesis is on the research of project schedule and control with HongqiaoSOHO Business Plaza project as research background.Starting from schedulemanagement theory,this paper has a detailed study of the basic concept and the maincontent of progress management, schedule preparation, principles and process ofprogress control as well as the basic theory of earned value method.With HongqiaoSOHO Business Plaza project as an example,this paper prepared a project scheduleand analyzed the progress control using earned value in the process of implementationof the project and make recommendations for subsequent works of the project basedon the results.Finally concluded and Prospect.
