The Study For Waterfront Space Design Of Tourist Town

Recently, as people’s living standards improve, and have more leisure time, cultural requirements growth and develop, shorten the distance of space, the tourism industry developed rapidly, the popularity of the waterfront space in tourist town is becoming higher and higher, and this special geographical environment has good development prospects. Although there are a numerous cases of waterfront space, like the classical gardens which emphasis on water-designing, the interdependence between building and water. It’s mainly about the exploration of landscaping and there has only a few systematic theories, some tourist towns just remain in the name of water-designing which are lacks effective or rational guides, without make connection between buildings and water spaces, nothing special and only incompatibility. This will not only leads the waste on ecological destruction, wasting of resources, and also debase the quality of tourists’travelling experience. Most waterfront spaces are as tedious as others, which lacks flexible and innovative designing.Therefore, on the basis of research the successful projects at home and abroad. This thesis comprehensively summarized and classifies the waterfront space of tourist town from whole water system planning, waterfront architectural design to landscape design, and puts forward a set of effective design method, lays a theoretical foundation for design of the Puzhehei tourist water town.This thesis is made up by the following five parts:Chapter one is introducing. It is about the research’s purpose, the content, the ways and the structure of research.Chapter two is the conception and connotation. At first, it defines the referent concept and discuss them. The referent concept is including tourist town, waterfront space. Then this thesis extends these concept and analyses and summaries the influence factors on waterfront space.Chapter three is the analysis of projects. By analysis of the successful planning and architectural typical cases, the thesis refines and summarizes the strategies to model the waterfront space, and to provide inspiration for subsequent waterfront space design practice of tourist town.Chapter four is the research on waterfront space design methods. This thesis systematically summarizes the elements, morphology and hydrophilicity design of waterfront space,and analyzes the design techniques and the technologies to process of waterfront spaces, to provide theoretical support for the actual design. Chapter five and six is the planning and design for Puzhehei tourist water town project, it applies the method of waterfront space which summarized above. Though this two chapters respectively takes the design of Puzhehei tourist town, to explore the design from water system planning, waterfront architecture to landscape, and offer the suggestion to the waterfront space of tourist town project in the future.About50,000words with226illustrations...
