Changsha City Special Categorized Plants Garden, Investigation And Analysis

In recent years, with people’s attention to the environment around us, the development of the landscape undertaking in China has been changing quickly. In the five elements of garden, plant is the only element that has the characteristics of vitality. As one of the important mode of plant landscaping, plant specialized garden planning design and construction is getting more and more attentions by people. Plant specialized garden is a garden mode emphasizing the specialized plant exhibition and plant landscape, it is also a important application mode for plant landscape in the future. The construction of the plant specialized garden shows an organic combination of plant science, garden aesthetics and culture, it also has multiple functions such as species protection, plant exhibition, science popularization education, scientific research, and sightseeing in tourism.This paper expounds the definition of the plant specialized garden, basing on the current research of domestic and overseas plant specialized garden, through two aspects of function and application mode, it concludes and summarizes the characteristic of the plant specialized garden.Plant specialized garden not only can provide the urban resident a best place for their sightseeing recreation at spare time. It can also fully reflect the garden’s feature and culture. At present, many comprehensive park and specialized garden in Changsha city had proceeded a large number of plant specialized garden planning and design, but for some many-sided and multi-layered reason such as earlier period planning and later period maintenance management, they cause many deficiencies in layout and variety selection of the plant specialized garden with poor landscape effect. Therefore, in this research, based on the fundamental, with the combination of data collection.Spot-surveying and multiple survey ways, we proceed the field investigation of plant specialized garden layout, plant species selection and collocation methods in14gardens located in Changsha city. In addition, combining with the characteristics of park itself, starting from the point of the natural environment, plant resources and cultural environment, we proceed a unified planning and design for the plant specialized garden of different parks in Changsha, providing some theoretical foundations and reference suggestions for the construction of plant specialized garden in Changsha city.
