Surgical operation is commonly used for the treatment of trauma and deformitycorrection. The size of operating table is200×48cm in accordance with standards. Theoperation table is too narrow to put down the arms of those are obese, causing inconveniencein operation process. To deal with practical problems in the treatment of obese patients,portable bracket with its corresponding mold was designed and prepared, and also portablebracket material and injection molding process were studied. Conclusions as follows:(1) Portable bracket curl inwards to use easily, and could be flexibly adjusted accordingto the somatotype of the patients. Size parameters as shown: length was40cm, width was15cm, thickness was0.4cm, curved arm radius was5cm, curved radian angle was120°;(2) The optimal process of silane coupling agent treating fiber was: dosage of silanecoupling agent solution was20mL for30min, temperature at60℃. Fiber reinforcedcomposite was prepared when added glass fiber20wt%to polycarbonate resin, while that ofthe fiber was modified by silane coupling agent. The tensile strength of composite increasedby104.5%, and SEM displayed composite damage was brittle fracture, and enhanced thestrength and decreased toughness slightly;(3) Compatibilizing agent polypropylene grafted with maleic anhydride (PP-g-MAH),which improved interface of polypropylene(PP) and polycarbonate(PC) to prepare blendingmaterials. When added6wt%PP-g-MAH and10wt%PP, the tensile strength of the compositedecreased3.8%, while the elongation at break increased6.7%, melt flow index of the blendsincreased21.7%. PP effectively improved the processing properties of the blends, and hadlittle influence on the tensile strength;(4) Compared the mechanical and processing properties of fiber reinforced compositematerials and PP/PC blend, PP/PC blends is more suitable for the preparation of the bracketarm. The injection process was: screw speed was40r/min, nozzle temperature was240℃, thebarrel’s first temperature at255℃, the second temperature at245℃, third section at240℃,and the first injection pressure was90MPa, the second was80MPa, the third was 40MPa, press time was30s, cooling time was30s, he temperature of mold was90℃, andbackpressure was0.6MPa. Through simulation test, the bracket support could sustaincontinuous load for several months and reach design requirements.
