| Eyes are the most important organs to get the external information for human beings, but many people need correct their sight for some problems of their eyes. Eye glasses , being"the most broad application of ophthalmic curing drugs for human", can improve the sistuation in life for those people.Originally inorganic materials of glass were used for ophthalmic lens, and then optical plastics with light weight, good optical properties were produced, of which polycarbonates(PC) are the most potential due to its good optical and mechanic properties. However, PC lens are inherently soft and easily scratched or worn out in abrasive conditions, and thus they essentially limited the usage time of plastic lens. Now hard protective films on plastic lens are employed to enhance the resistance, reduce the scratch damage and prolong the usage time.Silicone was used as abrasion-resistant coatings to improve the hardness and resistance, but with the shortage of big thickness and bad uniformity. Diamond-like carbon films , just being thin less than 0.1μm, can enhance the hardness and resistance of lens, prolong the usage time.DLC films were deposited on PC by the method of RF-PECVD. The influnce of depositing parameters—methane concentration (volume percent of CH4/Ar), depositing power and time—on the composition, the microstructure and the properties of DLC films was discussed. |
