Some Problems Of Large Construction Projects Traffic Impact Assessment

Our country’s urbanization level has reached52%in2013，In the past five years, China’surbanization rate increased by1.3%per year on average, with the deepening of China’surbanization process, the annual increase of the urban population up to17million. Many newkinds of large construction projects began operations to meet the living, employment andother requirements of these new urban population. It not only can alleviate the problem of theshort supply in the city, also will bring new challenges to the city transport system. Largeconstruction projects development inevitably leads to the growth of regional traffic, if youdon’t solve the possible traffic congestion, a series of problems such as bus the resultingtraffic accidents, environmental pollution, congestion and parking difficulties will affectPeople’s Daily life everyday. In turn, this influence will not only affect the profit of projectdevelopment, but also restrict the development of urban economy. As a result, the trafficimpact assessment of large urban construction projects can protect the interests of thedevelopers and also can promote the healthy development of urban transportation system.This paper introduces the large construction project traffic impact assessment whichfocus on the traffic investigation, traffic volume forecast, parking facilities and bus analysisproblems, etc. In the third chapter, The author analyzed traffic facilities survey method andmake clear about the research purpose of various kinds of survey data. In the fourth chapter,the writer of this paper discusses the traffic impact assessment analysis methods andevaluation contents of parking facilities, in the end,the author give some improvementSuggestions for reference. Chapter VI discussed the setup requirements, forms, and otherfactors of the bus terminals, bus stops and taxi stops, and give their evaluation after combinedthem with the example of "Visitant Central Area" traffic impact analysis.
