The Planning Strategy Of West Part Of Hunanrural Mayang Autonomous County

China has vast territory, tens of thousands rural settlements, it is closely related with themasses of working people and their life, and it is also a symbol of hard-working Chinese people’s agricultural civilization. West part of Hunan still kept full of local characteristics of rural settlements, however, under the background of the rapid development of economy, the county’s strong construction environment has changed the traditional style of its original region settlements, and some problems can not be avoided in order to meet the requirements of the new residents at the same time.This research, first of all, set the scope of this study in west part miao village. The research objects are the natural ecological environment, miao ethnic culture, the material space, these aspects used to sum up the harmonious relationship of traditional settlement and natural environment. The different influence factors in the type characteristics of rural settlements are discussed by the topography and geomorphology, geographical location, the production activitiesof rural settlements。Secondly, this research adopts the method of field investigation and research on differenttypes of rural settlements household visits, photographs, records, based on the practical investigation and literature research to summarize the evolution of part wesr traditional settlement characteristics, and to analyze the present situation of settlement evolution and the reasons for its development and the existing problems. Finally, in view of settlement evolution and blind construction which caused major problems as part west lost its original settlement characteristics, it is supported by the technical points of different types of settlements planning and strategy with the guidance to the road to scientific development of rural settlements.
