Design Study Of Sports Center In The Perspective Of Urban Space

With the development of city construction and people exercise program, as well asconduction of sports competition of all kinds, many places have the enthusiasm to build sportscenter, meanwhile, sports center at all levels are completing gradually. Sports center is thecongregation of series of sports architecture and other interrelated facilities, compared to otherpublic architecture, sports center are much larger in both land scale and architecturaldimension, but also has close relation to the city. Sports center has its advantage for citizens’use and region development, on the other hand, some deficiency of sports center have broughtinconvenience to citizen, also they have little contribution to the urban public space.This thesis is based on urban space theory, aim to probing and studying the relationshipbetween sports center and urban space. At first, the thesis set forth the conception of sportcenter and related studies, as well as urban space. Then the thesis sort out the history of sportscenter, also analyze some current sports center in China, find some common features. Afteranalysis, the thesis probe the relationship between sports center and urban space, based onShenzhen Longhua cultural and sports center urban design project. And at last, the thesis putforward some suggestion for sports center design.The thesis is composed with four parts:The first part, including the first chapter, is the introduction. It mainly set forth thebackground and the subject, the significance of the study, the conception of sport center andrelated research, as well as urban space.The second part, including the second chapter, introduce the history of sports centeraround the world and in China, summarize the common features and shortage of currentsports center in the country.The third part, including the third forth and the fifth chapter, probe the relationshipbetween sports center and urban space, based on Shenzhen Longhua cultural and sports centerurban design project.The forth part, including the sixth chapter, summarize and put forward some designstrategy.The thesis probes the relationship between the particular urban architecture and urbanspace, through analyzing current situation and design project. Not only thinking about the deficiency of current situation, but also put forward a new practicable thinking of design. Thefinal purpose is to improve the relationship between the particular urban architecture andurban space, make a better and vital urban space.
