Urban Waterfront Vitality To Create A Preliminary

Urban waterfront space,as the urban regioin with natural and artificial characteristics,boasts a strong history flowour and high human values.Modern industrial and urban expansion brought about economic prosperity to urban waterfront space,but also leads it to environmental pollution,which eliminates its vitality.The construction of the urban waterfront space has always been related to urban memories,and its utilization,development,and update also affected the historic process of cities.Studying the creation of the vitality of waterfront space can stimulate the vitality of the city and promote their development.Through literature research,field investigation, and synthesis,this thesis has summed up top ten principles for creating the vitality of urban waterfront space on the basis of summarizing some exsting studies,and simultaneously proposes concrete methods from four pespectives.As for the important and key points,the thesis has analyzed separately and propose detailed solutions.This thesis mainly consists of seven parts:The first part is introduction. This part describes the background of the subjects,introduces the purposes,meatings,contents and methods of this study,summarizes the evolution prosess of urban waterfront space and emphasizes the value of creating its vitality.The second part is about the relevant studies at home and abroad . This parts summarizes domesitic and foreign theoretical investigation on the update,utilization,evelopment design of urban waterfront space,lists related conferences convened in and outside China,carefully analyzes specific cases and expounds relevant theories.The third and fourth part the core of this thsis,In combination with the above study,the third part proposes the top ten principles for creating a vibrant urban waterfront space.And preliminary explores the principles for the urban waterfront space.The fourth part is about specific methods,It puts forward respective solutions and strategies creating "four vitalities" of urban waterfront space. The fifth part summarizes the problems that may arises in the process of the design and developments of urban waterfront space,except those resolved in the fourth part.On the basis of an exhaustive analysis on these problems,the thesis proposes concrete methods to deal with its tramportation,flood control,interface and history renew,which provide new strategies and approaches to its plan design.The sixth part takes the third-phase project of Yueyang Tower scenic spot for a typical example to carry out and test the above study results.The last part is the conclusion and outlook. The author hopes that this study will contribute a little to the creation of the vitality of urban waterfront space in the future.
