Research On Public Space Sequence Design Of Renovation And Expansion Of Museum

Historic building renovation and expansion has increasingly become an important topic in thearchitectural design field, although the development of our country in this field is just theinitial stage, it has developed rapidly in recent years. Renovation and expansion of museumis a common way of re-use of historic buildings, there have been many of such projects inour country in recent years. Research on space sequence design covers most of the contentsof architectural design of this type of museum building. In the wave of reuse of historicbuildings in the ascendant on the occasion, this thesis focus on the relationship between oldand new space attempts to analyze the public space sequence, and make specific designstrategies which can give suggestion to similar projects in China.The overall research strategy of this thesis is to extract the key elements and principles ofpublic space sequences of the renovation and expansion of the museum design by studying onthe development of the museum’s renovation and expansion at home and abroad, and thensummarize specific design strategies based on the analysis of practice cases at home andabroad.The full text is divided into four parts: The first part is the first two chapters which clearswhat we research on by studying the relevant theory and practice at home and abroad.The second part is the third and fourth chapters, this part covers the design elements anddesign principles of public space sequence of renovation and expansion of museum.The third part is the fifth chapter which proposed the specific design strategies of space publicspace sequences of renovation and expansion of museum.The fourth part is the sixth chapter, this chapter analyzes how to applied the specific designmethods and principles in the practice case which the author have Participated.
