Mashan is one of three secondary distribution area of Miao in Guizhou,and thereare more than230,000Miao habitant who are konwed of Mashan Miao.Mashan Miaodidn’t be konwed by everyone until “The king of Yalu” be announced as intangiblecultural heritage in2009.“The king of Yalu” heroic epic is cultural treasures ofMashan Miao, and the migratory history deeply affects the habitant,especially in themysterious Getu river basin.The region’s unique village settlement culture thatinfluenced by the long farming and Yalu culture is the result of Miao habitant interactwith the natural enviorment,and the reflection of Miao habitant’s traditional survivalwisdom.It reflects the harmony between people and nature and the diversity of culturethat produced by its own development adapt to the different environment.As the blank of related research,the author takes27typical miao villages in Geturiver basin as the research object,based on the field investigation and integratedarchitecture, planning, sociology, enthnology and other multi-disciplinary knowledgestudy methord,to explore characteristics of village space form and formation of rootplanning thought,local-style dwelling houses and building basic prototype of yard, thetectonic concept connotation, construction technology, construction art and space,etc.To present the current situation question of Miao village under the influence oftourism development boom and modernization process.The thesic includes cause, core, inspiration and conclusion.
