since2010,China shipbuilding industry has leaped into the front ranks of the globeindicators of shipbuilding completions, new contracting, hand-hold contracting since2010.since2010. However, compared with the powers such as Korea and Japan, China is only abig but not a power one, Shipbuilding enterprises inventory occupancy rate of China is highand construction cycle is long, which greatly restrict the development goal of Chinashipbuilding enterprises to realize modernization. Analyze the reasons for this gap, the keylies in the different modes of shipbuilding, therefore change of shipbuilding mode andimplementation of digital shipbuilding have become the internal requirement of thedevelopment of China’s shipbuilding industry.With the continuous development of computer technology, virtual simulationtechnology, advanced shipbuilding technology and construction equipment automation,digital production line has become the inherent requirement of digital shipbuilding. It usesthe knowledge of all aspects of ship construction as a basis, virtual simulation modeling andoptimization as a means, applying advanced technology into the entire process of shipdesign, manufacturing and management. Ultimately achieve the purpose of flexible andbalanced production, thereby improving production efficiency, reducing the shipbuildingperiod, and increasing enterprise economic benefits. Some research work as below:(1) Based on the large number of research literature at home and abroad, combinedwith other manufacturing industry on the definition of digital product line, the digitalshipbuilding production line was summarized and its overall framework was proposed. Theintegration of digital production line from the network and the hardware layer, businesslayer, support layer, data exchange layer, application layer was studied. According to thecharacteristics of the system in each layer, the information integration system wasestablished and the information sharing was achieved.(2) The management of the production plan, modeling and simulation optimization,visual monitoring of production implementation, integration of information managementand other core technologies were studied based on the overall framework of digitalproduction line. Taking modeling and simulation technology as an entry point, describedfrom geometric modeling, physical modeling, logical modeling, process visualization,simulation and optimization aspects, and then investigating its application in digital production line in the form of examples validation.(3)According to the information of certain shipbuilding company’s production data ofsegmented plane manufacturing plant, by using the simulation software Plant Simulationbuilding the workshop model, importing the production plan, simulating each segmentconstruction process, counting equipment utilization, blocking rate and other data,identifying bottleneck process, assessing the production line capacity, analyzing therationality of the production plan. Then, using the genetic algorithm module in simulationsoftware to optimize the production plan, compare the optimized production plan executionresults with the original production plan simulation results. Further validate the applicationof modeling and simulation techniques in the digital production line.
