The traditional monitoring system for large crane using wire transmission bringssome problems,such as poor mobility, inconvenient layout and extention of collectingpoint.This thesis designs a kind of crane energy consumption monitoring system usingwireless sensor network based on6LoWPAN. This provides data support for themonitoring of energy consumption and security of crane,and the design of crane. Thetopic is a technology project coming from the Jiangsu Bureau of quality and technicalsupervision that the research of crane energy detection and evaluation technology. Themain research is as follows:Firstly, we analyze the present situation and developing trend of wireless sensornetwork.combining with the crane industry needs.we provide a overall architecture ofcrane energy monitoring system based on wireless sensor network. Then we analysiscollected physical quantity useful for system, types of corresponding sensor and itspoint of deployment. And then we design a overall system scheme about collectingnetwork. After that we analysis the current mainstream of wireless scheme,and choosethe CC2530RF chip for the crane working environment, and design the connectionscheme between CC2530with the common sensor interface from hardware aspect.Then we analyze the key technology of6LoWPAN architecture used in eachlayer.Combining with the Contiki source code, we summarize the function of eachlayer and the configuring method of specific function. Through analyzing andelaborating the processing of UDP data packet in the system structure of6LoWPAN,we sum up the interface function called by application layer. The Contiki2.6systemis transplanted to CC2530. We analysis RPL routing and its configuration in contikisystem. We implement the function of RPL routing on CC2530chip and finish theinterconnection between WSN and IPv6network.On the basis,we design the driver ofsensor in contiki system and programing for data acquisition in the application layer.Finally, in order to verificate the function of acquisition of sensor data and theperformance of wireless multi hop communication,we do simulation in Cooja, testconstruction of RPL network topology,and test the effect of field acquisition. And thenwe test the influence of the node’s number to the loss rate of packet.The testing resultsshow that the network achieves the original scheming goals and meets the monitoringrequirements of energy consumption of crane.
