Research On Indoor Design Of Public Buildings In Northern Towns: Cultural Heritage

Interior design, which, in any era, is closely linked with the civilization, plays asignificant role in social culture.Therefore,studies on cultural inheritance of interiordesign contribute toa profound understanding of national cultural characteristics andconnotation of times. Northern town has uniqueness on its Interior design as well ason its regional characteristics.Its reference on culture, not using a kind of symbol,some material or a form, but basing on considering its own unique geography andclimate, putting diversity and complexity of traditional cultural connotation intointerior design. Therefore, seeking the coherencepoint of traditional and modern aswell as how to build and feature Chinese traditional flavor in interior space isinevitable development trends of interior design. In this way, can we better to usetraditional culture and traditional decorative elements to the northern town of publicbuilding interior design, and inspire better design thinking and ideas.In this paper, we used the field research method, case analysis, sum up methodand combined with concrete research projectsfrom the aspect of applications oftraditional elements such as symbols, color, paintings， calligraphy, arts andcraftsprocess and furniture to make a specific analysis in modern public buildinginterior design.These methodswere based on interpretation of public building interiordesign in northern town and the influence of traditional culture essence of interiordecoration.Combining with some concrete examples, the cultural inheritance andregeneration of north town public building interior design were also discussed. Theresults provide the theoretical support and a certain practical significance for theresearch for traditional way of cultural inheritance and for exploring the way ofdevelopment of the interior design of public buildings.
