The Design Research Of Bamboo Furniture Based On The Concept Of Low-carbon

Today, the low carbon concept gradually accepted by the public, the international community’s attention on low carbon materials are also higher than ever before. Accompanied by dwindling in the total amount of timber resources worldwide and global climate changes,furniture manufacturing increasingly turning to meet the bamboo material with low-carbon and environmental concept.This article introduced in the process of bamboo furniture design, production of "carbon footprint" concept.On the basis of life cycle assessment(LCA) method, a carbon footprint study model for bamboo furniture design, production is constructed,which reference to GHG greenhouse gas protocol, PAS2050 and the International Organization for Standardization(ISO)and other low-carbon related evaluation System of bamboo furniture The actual production of bamboo timber tea table as an example to expand the list of data collection and calculation of it’s carbon footprint,which will show the carbon emissions in various stages of bamboo timber tea table with the form of carbon dioxide equivalent(CO2eq).The study also will intuitive display the environmental advantages of bamboo timber furniture.Trying to give a recommendation of bamboo furniture design, production with low carbon concept on the base of detailed analysis of research results, also to provide reference data for future low-carbon bamboo furniture design, production and further reduce emissions.
