The Key Indexes Evaluation Of Re-combined Bamboo Timber Applied In Furniture

Manufacture of wood and structural panel is great influenced by the firm shortage of forestry resource in the whole world, thus alternative material is keen to development to produce timber and structural panel. Re-combined bamboo timber is that the new bamboo-based panel in nineties , whose utilization ratio is high , physical mechanics high performance , the treating function are easy to have a fine exterior, the processing is simple, and cost is cheap, is the new product having very much developing.Application of Re-combined bamboo timber in the furniture production is discussed in this paper: Compared to Glued-laminated Bamboo, the relevant machinery property, included planning, boring, sanding and saw cutting, the stability of size and panting film adhering capacity are tested. Besides, the introduction research of the usage of Re-combined bamboo timber in the Ming style furniture is primary discussed. Following out coming is achieved:(1) According to weighted integration method .The quality levels of machinery processing property are 4.00, 4.73 ,4.51,4.53 for planning, sanding, boring and saw cutting, which are located in Good Quality machinery property.(2) The main demerits in the planning are chipped grain, torn, raised grain, ripple, burn mark of cutting and gnaw, while, chipped grain decrease the quality of processing most seriously.The main demerits in sanding are surface fuzzy, burning mark, transverse ripple, and torn.The main demerits in the boring are torn in bottom, and avulsion of fibre. The main demerits in the saw cutting are torn fibre and collapse fibre.(3) The degree of granulation of two materials after planning, sanding and saw cutting is researched. In the same circumstance, after three kind of processing, the harshness value of Re-combined bamboo timber is smaller than glued-laminated bamboo, which is directly related to the property of Re-combined bamboo timberd. This will benefit the adhesion and coating processing in the Re-combined bamboo timberd furniture production.(4) Shrinkage and expansion property of Re-combined bamboo timber shows greatly orientation, which means string direction is largest, diameter is followed, and vertical is smallest, whilst, expansion rate is larger than shrinkage rate. Compared to other wooden furniture material, these rates is relatively low, which will benefit application Re-combined bamboo timber in furniture manufacturing.(5) Quality classification of painting film adhering capacity of Re-combined bamboo timber and glued-laminated bamboo are 4.09 and 3.73.(6) The introduction research of application in Ming Style sculpt, and technics decoration method indicates that Re-combined bamboo timber is suitable for Ming Style furniture manufacturing, in addition, by carbonization and colouration technics, it can achieved good appearance of imitate rare rosewood.
