Study On Ben Agger’s Eco-crisis Theory

Capitalist society has created a highly developed material civilization, but also it causes the deterioration of relations between human and nature, and brings a series of problems, such as, waste of resources, environmental pollution, energy depletion, it effects human survival and development, and causes wide public concern over the people of insight. They respectively from the aspects of philosophy, ecology, thinking about these problems, puts forward a lot of meaningful point of view.Researching Agger’s ecological crisis theory, we can form a more clear understanding to the present serious ecological environment problems of the capitalist society, and also we can realize that the ecological crisis is a crisis form of capitalism, and is a secondary form of crisis. Valuing the ecological crisis, to some extent, it can enrich the crisis theory of Marxism, broadening the research field of Marxism, make the ecological problem more widespread attention.Through systemic analysis and research of relevant theories, based on the relevant theory of classical Marxist theory, it divides four chapter to discuss the ecological crisis theory of Agger:The first chapter tease and analysis the current domestic and foreign research related literature on Agger’s thought, combine with the relevant principles of Marxism, from the perspective of the relationship between human and nature, as the objective analysis and evaluation of Agger’s ecological crisis theory to the direction of efforts in this paper. The second chapter analyzes the foundation reality and theory origin of Agger ecological crisis theory, it points out that the production of ecological crisis theory of Agger is the inevitable phenomenon of capitalist economic and social development. ecological crisis is the result of capital pursuit of surplus value.The third chapter analyzes the content of Agger crisis theory, that Agger on consumption alienation as a starting point, think the main form of crisis of capitalist society is ecological crisis that caused by the consumption alienation, and the essence of the crisis is the alienation of people; To Marx "theory and practice of dialectics" as the foundation, with "dashed expectations of dialectics" as solutions, trying to by diversified technology and the bureaucratic management solving the ecological crisis, correctly handle the relationship between human and nature and realize people’s freedom and liberation. The fourth chapter analysis Agger ecological crisis theory. It points out that Agger as the founder of ecology Marxism, his ecological crisis theory’s emerge is the inevitable result of the serious ecological problems in theory, highlighting the ecological problems that human society facing, to a certain extent, to enriching the Marxism theory provides the resources, also make the ecological problem more widespread attention.But Agger places demand of consumption and the natural conditions of meeting the demands as the contradiction center, and overly puts emphasis on the role of consumption in society, dispel the basic contradiction of capitalist society, the incompleteness of the theory, diverge the theory of Marxism, also objectively argue for the system of capitalism. All those need we high attention and vigilance.
