The accounting major in higher vocational is set for training high professional finance and accounting talents, who both know necessary accounting theories and do real business proficiently. This requires the major being oriented for vocational demands and at the same time training the practical operational ability. Therefore, it is of importance and necessity to analyze the vocation demands in the small and middle companies and the students’ cognitive power. Then it will be more oriented and directed when we set the courses including business practices for the accounting major. Hence, this thesis is aimed to construct a kind of novel and scientific courses for higher vocational accounting major based on previous study to really train high professional talents.First, based on theoretical research in the framework of a relatively clear, I defined the concepts of courses, curriculum models, practice direct and practice-directed curriculum models. And methods for developing practice-directed curriculum models are also clarified. Hence, this thesis proposes the steps and supplies sufficient proofs for supplementing the practice-directed curriculum models.Secondly, I made surveys on the demands for accounting candidates’ working ability in many companies. By analyzing the work ability of accounting employees and the new vocational demands, I find out what the society requests on accounting talents. This will supply a practical proof for setting up the practice-directed curriculum systems for accounting major in higher vocational schools.Finally, by combining the theoretical analysis and practical surveys, a scientific practice-directed curriculum system will be constructed for accounting major in higher vocational schools.
