In recent years, with rapid development of China’s economic society and with remarkable improvement of Chinese people’s living standard, the required quantity of the circulated RMB, as well as the input and return in cash has also increased in a remarkable way. This has led to an increase of the RMB storage in the issuance vaults. As an important carrier of the issued funds storage, the safety of the issuance vaults directly concerns normal conduction of rational supply of issued funds as well as currency issuing. Risk management of the issuance vaults is of most importance to ensure the national property safety&the issued funds supply, to safeguard financial stability and to maintain a good social image of the Central Bank. However, due to the particularity and diversity of the issuance vaults, as well as the severity of the loss of control, there are such problems in risk management as weak risk management consciousness, backward risk management means, weak institutional implementation capacity, scarcity of highly qualified risk management personnel and imperfect emergency response plan. Therefore, with the risk management theory and the internal control theory as its theoretic bases, this thesis shall make a categorized study on risks faced by the issuance vaults, analyze existing problems in concerning risk management, build up a risk evaluating system for the issuance vaults, perfect the emergency response plan of the issuance vaults, erect a long-effect mechanism for risk prevention, so as to propose countermeasures for risk management of the issuance vaults through the above risk evaluation on Vault388.
