Study On China Merchants Bank Offshore Banking Risk Management

In the context of financial globalization, the deregulation of domestic financial system is accelerated, and turmoil in international financial markets is growing. How to improve risk management while develop banking business is the most central issue for China Merchants Bank offshore banking.This paper studies the risk management in China Merchants Bank offshore banking. By reviewing the relevant domestic and foreign risk management literature about offshore banking and drawing on advanced concepts of risk management, the article proposes specific solutions to the Bank through theoretical and empirical analysis. Firstly, the paper describes the background, purpose, significance, content, method and framework of the research. Secondly, theories on the risk management of offshore banking are reviewed and risk management models are discussed. Then, based on the present situation of risk management in China Merchants Bank offshore banking, the article figures out and examines the problems existing in the risk management after in-depth analysis of business proportion, business status in the banking industry, and business performance in the last three years. Finally, based on the purpose, principles, contents, causes and types of the risk management in China Merchants Bank, this study puts forward specific proposals on the risk management, which include goal setting, effective risk identification, risk measurement, risk assessment, risk prevention and solutions. To some extent, the paper hopes to be instructive and enlightening in the practices of China Merchants Bank offshore banking.This article has implications for effective prevention of offshore banking risks and improvement of risk management through its research on the risk management of China Merchants Bank offshore banking. It also has a positive impact on sustainable development and overall profitability for offshore banking.
