With the development of knowledge, information and globalization, China’ssocial economy is in a period of broad and complex, deep and dramatictransformation. These changes not only bring opportunities, but also bring lots ofwork pressure, and it affects the employee’s job performance in different levels.Nowadays, The80’s become main-force in the workplace. It makes sense to study therelationship between job stress and job performance. According to the employmentsurvey of Chinese college students, recently, more and more college graduatesengaged in these professions, such as finance、banking、 and securities industries.Because the banking industry has a major impact on our national economy, the staffsin banking industry have great work pressure. So the study of the relationshipbetween job stress and job performance about the80’s should receive our attention.Through the consulting literature, this article reorganized domestic and foreignrelated research summary about job stress、job performance and their relationship,and regard the80’s staff in the five state-owned banks in Chongqing as objects of thesurvey. After the fieldwork, some research ideas、underlying assumptions have beenpresented. And this article used the SPSS19.0software to analysis and process thedata for the201effective collecting samples, used statistical analysis methodincluding descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity analysis, factorialanalysis, T-test,single factor variance analysis, correlation analysis and regressionanalysis.The analysis result indicated:①The results of factor analysis showed that workload、role stress、competitivepressures、 interpersonal stress、 their expectations and work-family conflictconstitute the job stress of80’s banking staff in Chongqing five state-owned banks.②The results of T-test and one-way ANOVA analysis showed that differentindividual characteristic bank staffs (such as age、 educational background、marital、sex、 work life and work position) have certain difference in the job stress; differentindividual characteristic bank staffs (such as age、educational background、marital、sex、 work life and work position) have certain difference in the jobperformance(including task performance and peripheral performance).③The results of correlation and regression analysis showed that there is partialcorrelation between job stress and job performance of80’s banking staff inII Chongqing five state-owned banks.④According to the conclusion above, this article summarized six factors basedon the job stress table, and proposed some suggestion to ease their job stress andimprove their job performance. Finally, this article summarized the innovation anddeficiency, and look into the future of this study.
