An overall view of the global auto industry development, the enterprise R&D ability decides the enterprise’s core competitiveness and sustainable development direction. The cause of the rapid rise of Japan and Korea car companies is the accumulation of enterprise R&D ability and form the technical change. So the R&D management system research is the key to the development of our country’s automobile industry. Efficient and scientific R&D management system is the long‐term development advantage resources of an automobile enterprise.This paper makes a qualitative study of R&D management system; summarizes an evaluation standard which can be suitable for the R&D management system of the science and technology automobile enterprise. This paper reviews and summarizes the important management methods and theories of R&D management system. According to the theoretical analysis，this paper Analysis and evaluates the R&D system of FAW Car, and proposes the reasonable optimization scheme and implementation method to the R&D management process, organization, knowledge management, which may has a certain guiding significance to the R&D management FAW Car.In this paper, the research mainly divided into five chapters, the main content is as follows:Chapter1: the paper elaborates the research background and significance, and the relevant research both at home and abroad, and expounds the innovation points of the paper structure.Chapter2: according to the analysis of domestic and foreign research on R&D management system, qualitative summarizes the concept and component of R&D management system of the technology automobile enterprise. This chapter discusses the important theoretical concept of R&D management system. This chapter provides the theoretical foundation for analysis the current situation of the management system and put forward reasonable suggestions for FAW Car in the third chapter.Chapter3：analyzes the development, function and so on of R&D management system Of the FAW Car, Puts forward the problem of FAW Car’s R&D management system.Chapter4: according to the current situation of R&D management system of FAW Car, put forward feasible retrofit scheme in three aspects as product development process, organization, knowledge management.Chapter5: puts forward the project implementation method and elaborates the premise condition of the R&D management system, and put forward the corresponding evaluation indexes.
