The Development And Application Of Business Process Reengineering In ECMIS

The context of this paper is the development and application of ECMIS(Economic Case's Management Information System) for the department of public security. In this organization, work process is based on a series of procedures and steps. Therefore, the research about Business Process Reengineering and Business Process Management was focused on redesign and improvement of work process under the support of ECMIS.BPR as the management concept is the element of ECMIS and oriented for functional structure and the design of software module of MIS, which wouldn't copy traditional organization structure. A group of view model composed by 3 methods (CIM-OSA, RAD, and EPC) of BPR which can be analyzed and discussed about different demands completely reflect essential character and relation of organization business process nowadays. On the basis of the actual state of business process, we would understand problems and reasons, produce projects, and reengineer existing business process. In this paper, the method to identify, describe, diagnose, optimize and reengineer the work process was discussed and researched in the organization. Finally, the logical model and functional frame of ECMIS was obtained from the improved work processes.ECMIS is very successful. The method of the system development and application in the organization may be provided a little experience for others.
