Research On The Tourism Development Of Wu Long Dominated By Local Government

Tourism is people to leisure, entertainment, visiting friends or business purposes for non-domiciled travel and in the process of visiting the sum total of all relationships and phenomena.Tourism development is refers to the people to explore, improve and enhance the attraction of tourism resources and efforts to engage in development and construction activities.In regards to the present situation of tourism resources and development in our country, it can be seen that all aspects of our country’s tourism industry have great space to improve. Compared with the tourism industry of developed countries, our country has a lot of natural, fine but untapped tourism resources, especially in those poor areas. Although our country has entered the stage of building a well-off society in an all-round way, many regions especially the central and western China are still relatively backward in such aspects as economy, society and culture. Because of traffic inconvenience, the agriculture in these areas is still under development, and the industry foundation is weak or even there is no industry. Economic backwardness and poverty are still not solved. However, just because these areas are remote and backward, the local culture can keep its original style and regional characteristics. Both natural scenery and customs are well preserved, thus, many local governments have realized that developing tourism is quite an effective way to get rid of poverty, to establish the pillar industry, and to make local people get rich.In view of that the economy of these areas is backward and that the market is not normative, to develop tourism industry cannot fully rely on market regulation and independent development. Developing tourism industry greatly needs the government’s overall planning, policy support, capital support and macro-control. Otherwise, the development of tourism will just be in the air.The present study adopts such methods as literature review, interview and empirical study. When elaborating the government behaviors in the development of tourism, the author takes Wu Long as an example, which is not only an important tourism county in Western China but also a key county of national poverty alleviation and development. This thesis analyzes how Wu Long County establishes the tourism as a pillar industry and how it makes the most of tourism to develop green industry as well as the whole county. The thesis also analyzes the present development situation, lessons and experiences, existing problems, and the corresponding solutions. The experience and lessons are worth exploring and thinking.The significance of this research lies in the fact that many other regions like Wu Long can learn from the successful experience and shortcomings. Through a comprehensive analysis on its tourism resources, ecological environment, traffic conditions, the humanities style, economic development situation and other related factors, a region can quickly develop the tourism industry and lead the local people to get rich, by means of integrating resources and adjusting measures to local conditions for the development of local tourism industry.
