Abstract/Summary:
With resource and environmental constraints become increasingly obvious, especially rise in the oil price, the advantage of electric traction is more outstanding. Increasing the proportion of railway electric traction is the inevitable requirement to improve the transportation efficiency and benefit. How to reduce operating costs, improve transport efficiency, maximize the economic benefits of railway electric traction has become the imminent question for it is affected by the economic level of the country, the project investment, the developing scale of energy, the development of energy economy and the ratio between petroleum and electricity, etc.Based on the analysis of present conditions of internal-combustion and electric traction as well as the energy policy of the country, the paper comparative deals with the advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of dynamic models in towing capacity, energy consumption, technical requirements, and repair cost according to the technical characteristics of railway electric traction. Then the paper makes quantitative analysis of operation cost of this two power mode from the aspect of energy cost, operating expenses, maintenance, depreciation and establishes the calculation model of operation cost by using ABC. Finally, the paper analyzes the boundary conditions of the decision of two kinds of power mode by cost benefit method on the basis of the calculation model. It determines the critical intensity of freight and critical time in the transformation from internal-combustion to electric traction. Finally, through the analysis of examples, we can verify the feasibility of the model.
