Aluminum industry is an important pillar industry in the national economy, because China’s rapid economic development promotes the rapid development of electrolytic aluminum industry, but it also brings huge pressure on energy and the environment, which manifests mainly in that: Electrolytic aluminum production scale has expanded each year, electricity consumption continued to rise, and therewith greenhouse gas emissions continued to increase. A lot of greenhouse gas emissions also have become more and more troubled problem of global warming. The economic sustainable development requires that enterprises must be coordinated with their environmental responsibility. The key to solve the problem of global warming is to change the extensive mode of production at the cost of destroying environment, and implement low carbon production. The low carbon production is different from the clean production that focuses on clean energy, clean production process and clean products, and the low carbon production emphasizes to realize the purpose of low energy consumption, low emissions and low pollution in all links of the whole electrolytic aluminum production process, so implementation of low carbon production plan in electrolytic aluminum industry is a new exploring and trying at present, the domestic and international research literatures related to low carbon production are less, and the implementation of low carbon production plan and feasibility analysis in electrolytic industry are more tending to blank.This paper goes along aluminum industrial chain (Coal-electricity-electrolytic aluminum-aluminum processing), and takes raw and auxiliary materials, energy supply link in the initial stage of electrolytic aluminum production as the key point, mainly analyzes the whole production process of electrolytic aluminum, including raw material input, process equipment selection and improvement, optimization of production process, resource consumption, output efficiency and other aspects, through the form of questionnaire it collects and integrates the plan that could realize the purpose of low carbon production in three categories of resource and energy use, production process and equipment and pollutant disposal, then screens the summarized plan according to a certain principle, finally forms a set of complete low carbon production comprehensive plan, and comprehensively assesses the feasibility of this plan from the three aspects of technical feasibility, environmental benefits, and economic benefits. Through application of this plan in the concrete aluminum enterprises, the application of low carbon production plan of China’s electrolytic aluminum industry becomes more complete, more feasible and more advanced, and the gap with international advanced level becomes more and more small.
